Pip’s personal journey was long and challenging. She was dumped as a baby as she had an eye injury.
Happy Paws took her on without hesitation and we did all we could to save her eye but it was too damaged and had to be removed.
As Pip grew her personality shone through, she accepted her disability and thanks to her foster carer she thrived.
Pip now has the most loving family, three lovely furry siblings - Emily and Dusty (who is also a HP rescues) and Kiki - above all she will never feel alone again.
We asked her family for a few things they love about
Pip and this is what they told us:
“She is the only one of our four dogs to sleep on our bed
(at the top in between us)”.
“She walks on the other dogs heads when they are sleep”.
“She steals book marks, tissues and clean clothes”.
“She empties the wash basket of our dirty socks”.
“At gun dog training school, she heals up, marks, hunts, stops on a whistle and fetches a ball almost all the way back!”.
“And we would be lost without her.”
What a wonderful rescue of such a special girl.
